Happy 80th Anniversary to King Kong

Tremble humans! Today is very important, because 80 years ago on March 2, 1933, the original King Kong made his film debut and changed movie history forever. If you are looking for a movie to watch this weekend, why not fire up the mighty Kong?

Maybe share it with someone you know who has never watched this 1933 RKO classic? I watched it as a kid on a local TV station one night and it was a revelation to me. That viewing changed my movie watching life for the better by making me seek out film like it. (Notably Mighty Joe Young which would lead me to seek out the works of Ray Harryhausen). It is a cinematic masterpiece that is very re-watchable.

Celebrate it today. Make it Kong Day!
