Cloak & Dagger (1946)

After listening to episode 128 Cloak & Dagger about the 1984 film I was interested in more films of espionage and the Retroist recommended that I watch the original film. The 1946 film starring Gary Cooper is set during WWII and deals with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) . I was not let down by his recommendation and instantly fell in love with the film and its plot line set in World War II.

The film is great but I wanted more stories of espionage and dangerous missions so I found the OTR series “Cloak & Dagger” that was based on the novel by Corey Ford. There are 22 episodes in all and you can listen to or download them at the site.

I grew up in western New York in the late 70's early-mid 80's playing with my Star Wars and Fisher Price adventure people. I have to say it was a good time.

  1. Rick Doherty says:

OTR also has the thin man and its sequel with William Powel and Myrna Loy. They are great.
