The Shirt Tales – Saturday Night Shirt Tales And Dinkel’s Buddy (1982)

I’ll admit it’s been some time since I thought about the Shirt Tales but thankfully one of my co-workers happened to bring them up. I certainly was never aware that Hallmark Cards created them for a card line in 1980 before Hanna-Barbera adapted them into the cartoon series I watched every Saturday Morning on NBC in 1982!

Take a moment this morning and get reacquainted with Kip Kangaroo, Digger Mole, Pammy Panda, Tyg Tiger, Rick Raccoon, and Bogey Orangutan with these two episodes from the series!

  1. bill norris says:

when i was a kid i used to watch this show and every sunday after church when they ran the ShirTales promo at Hardees thats where me and my brother would pick for lunch for the toys.

  2. Didn’t Shirt Tales switch over the USA at some point? I seem to remember it as a USA show, but I think it started on NBC?

  3. It never “switched” to USA.
It was originally on NBC, then after it completed it’s run there it went into syndication. Later, USA picked up the syndicated version for the cartoon express.
