Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp (1939)

Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp is a cartoon short that was originally released to theatres on April 7, 1939 by Paramount Pictures. It was produced by the Fleischer Studios and is one of only three Popeye color specials ever created at that time. It is also three times longer than the typical animated shorts you would have seen being presented before a feature motion picture back in the Golden Age of Hollywood. This short features the vocal talent of Jack Mercer as Popeye, with Margie Hines as Olive Oyl and Carl Meyer as the evil vizier.
