Jim Henson’s “Alexander The Grape” (1965)

It is always so exciting to find a new piece of work that Jim Henson did that I’ve not had the pleasure of seeing before. Thanks to the always impressive Jim Henson’s Red Book blog we can now watch an animated short that Jim started using stop-motion and cut out colored paper in 1965 and was completed in 2009 by the Jim Henson Company Archive. The Archive ended up scanning the original storyboards of Jim’s to fill in the missing visuals and using the audio which was completed back in 65 with legendary puppeteer Jerry Juhls as Alexander and Jim Henson as Freddy the Fierce.
