See Wee’s Tropigals

See Wee’s Tropigals were made by Kenner from 1979 to 1984. I cannot say I was a collector of them (not a popular “boy toy”), but I do love the bg music.

  1. This didn’t seem remotely familiar when I saw the name, but it definitely rings a bell after watching the commercial.
Also, I think they brought the concept back a little later, under a different name. I remember commercials with the dolls in the floating sponge (complete with a couple mini ones), but seem to recall it having a different name.

Oh wow, I actually had one of these when I was a kid. I remember having MUCH more fun with the sponge lily pad thing than I did with the actual figures. (You could hold it upright and squish the bottom to make it “talk” Jim Henson style.)
