Larry Elmore’s Star Frontiers Artwork (1982)

Fans of the Role-Playing Games of TSR will surely have fond memories of the many fantastic works of art that the legendary Larry Elmore has created to grace boxes, magazines, and modules. This is one of my personal favorites, the cover to Star Frontiers, featuring two Humanoid adventurers and a Yazarian getting ready to probably give a little payback to whomever happened to have shot them down.

You can purchase a print of this very artwork and many more over at Larry Elmore’s official page, just follow the link provided up top!

Here is another of my favorite paintings, it was used on the Mountains of Mirror Endless Quest Books that our very own Atari Adventure Square talked about recently.

  1. Atari Adventure Square says:

Gotta give props to the man whose illustrations jumpstarted our adventurer imaginations.

The detailed attention he gives to those fantasy drawings helped carve out wondrous journeys as we put as much focus on those inner worlds as we saw rendered on the books splattered around the table.
