Darth Tater

Darth Tater is a conglomeration of two classic childhood memories of mine: Mr. Potato Head and Darth Vader.

The “Spud Lord of the Sith” (as referenced on Hasbro.com) retails for roughly $15. Unlike the original Mr. Potato Head, Darth Tater only comes with one pair of eyes, one pair of arms, and one set of feet, which greatly limits the number of ways he can be assembled.

Other Star Wars/Potato Head “mash ups” available include: Mashtor Yoda, Yam Solo, Chipbacca, Princess Tator, C-3Potato, Artoo-Potatoo, Spuda Fett, Darth Mash, Spud Trooper, and of course, Luke Frywalker.

May the Spuds be with you, always

  1. I’ve got Darth Tater setting atop my TV in the living room…but I think he needs to have Spuda Fett up there beside him now.

  2. One thing I didn’t mention is that there’s a much larger version of Darth Tater which I also own. I believe it was a container that held both Darth Tater and the Spud Trooper. My uncle found it for me at a garage sale and it’s been up on a shelf next to my entertainment center ever since.
