If you happened to grow up in the New York Tri-State Are in the 1980s and were a watched of WPIX Channel 11, the highlight of the day might have ben TV Pixx. This was a call in segment where a lucky kid got to play an Intellivision game via phone voice control (by saying Pix). If you did well, you won a fabulous prize (savings bond), if you lost you brought shame to your family. I desperately wanted to play TV Pixx, but never scored the opportunity. Footage of the actual segment is very rare, but a few years ago, to celebrate their anniversary, WPIX aired footage with an explanation of the game. Good memories.
