Beautifully Restored Color Home Movie of Disneyland in 1957

Wow! If your a Disney fan and want a unique look at the Happiest Place on Earth, just click on the video below and enjoy. This color home movie from the Disney History Institute was shot way back in 1957 and offers a peak at the park as it was in its early days. You will see rides that you still ride today, but more interestingly you will see rides that have long since passed in their heyday. I loved seeing the people going about their day at the park. (I think one sleeping kid is riding in a push cart I just saw restored on American Restoration).

Warning: this film is very re-watchable.

    Gorgeous quality film.
    It really puts you there.

Haven’t had the pleasure of visiting, but for having been an audience of The Wonderful World Of Disney on a weekly basis and from being a Disney-bred kid, Disneyland is part of my internal playground.

Good to get a chance to step into its visuals so easily.

That video is amazing. What is even more amazing is that you could take the same innocent footage nowadays and it would have the same impression because somehow Disney never looses its magic.
