R.I.P. Joe Simon (October 11, 1913 – December 14, 2011)

In his time he wore the hat of writer, artist, and Editor. With his partner, the fabled Jack Kirby, the duo not only co-created the likes of Captain America but the Vision as well for Marvel Comics and during their time at DC Comics crafted the Guardian, the Newsboy Legion, the Sandman, the Boy Commandos, and Manhunter.

Joe Simon also created the Fly for Archie Comics in 1959.
