Watch The Star Wars Holiday Special Online

I am not sure how long this will be online for. I am surprised it is online in its complete form at all, but I am not about to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially during this season of giving. Happy Life Day.

I’m shocked that the link still works! It’s great – allows you to jump easily to my two favorite parts: The Boba Fett cartoon and then the Kenner ads at the end.

A stupifying, yet unavoidable, holiday treat for me.
Watching it makes me dizzier than a treeful of Ewoks after a human spit-roast feast.

Of course, upon seeing this, George Lucas could possibly decide to smash the Internet.

  3. Google Video has had a copy of the SW Holiday Special available for many years.

Confession: I have watched the entire Star Wars Holiday Special at least 6 times in my life: Twice with the RiffTrax commentary, and the first time in 1978 when it orginally aired!

  4. I’ve said this before but the scene where Lumpawaroo’s Bantha toy is destroyed by the stormtroopers…for some reason as a child sent me into a bawling fit. Perhaps it was the injustice of a child, even a child wookie having an adult destroy something they love…you know what? It still makes me teary-eyed. ;)

I’ve never seen this but had heard stories of how bad it was. I got about five or six minutes in and had to stop. I feel as if I’ve died a little inside… :(

@VicSage – I’m with you. That part made me very sad when I saw this as a 7 year old, and it still bothers me today!

I downloaded this the other day and put it on my Ipad2. I will probably watch it in between family celebrations on Christmas. Good stuff!
