The Rise of Serpentor? Read the Comic…

The appearance of Serpentor was kind of a big deal amongst my friends and the reason is kind of dark. We were sick of Cobra always losing! They had such cool tech, the minions were wonderful, but under the leadership of Cobra Commander, they just went nowhere. We hoped that with Serpentor, things would change. We all ran out and got the comics and needless to say, we were not as impressed as we hoped.

  1. Doug says:

The cowl on Serpentor could be busted off. It split into two pieces, and once busted off, it revealed Serpentor to be this bald headed guy. The character card on the back of the blister pack also said that the had Hannibal’s genes. That’s pretty cool.

  2. All hail the mighty Serpentor! I really though at the very least it was a wonderful idea for the toy line, bring in someone who could get the job done where as you’ve said already, Cobra Commander was not able to.

I too thought this was the start of something monumental for the series. While it didn’t quite live up to my expectations I always enjoyed the whole grave robbing aspect of it all.

I like the fact that Serpentor just straight up backhands Cobra Commander in this commercial. :)
