In 1996, Pepsi released an energy drink/soda called Josta, a dark, fruity, powerfully sweet drink flavored with a South American stimulant called guarana. It also had a ton of caffeine, making Josta the Jolt of the ’90s. (As such, I owe any success I had in high school to Josta.) But it was too radically new a flavor, and quickly went off the market, but inspired such a cult following that there are recipes for making your own Josta all over the Internet.

From the middle of nowhere in the Pacific Northwest, I contribute to the Retroist, write for trivia publications, and blog about music in a humorous fashion. I feel about "Back to the Future" the way you feel about "Star Wars." Also, I'm married and have a child (sorry ladies, orphans).
