Velvet paintings get a bad rap. I guess when you see the mass produced panthers and Elvi that were so often sold at the flea markets I went to as a kid, you can sort of understand why. That is why I am glad there are artists like Kyle Kulakowski who help to reinvent the medium by capturing fresh (old) subjects. In the case of Mr. Kulakowski, the subject is video games and other great retro subjects that as you will see, look amazing under black light.
