The Pat Sajak Show

In 1989, CBS decided to mount a challenge to Johnny Carson with a late night talk show to appeal to the hip, cool young people that no longer watched  The Tonight Show.

And then they decided to hire Pat Sajak. Here’s the first segment of his first episode. If you enjoy unfunny jokes, pop culture references lost to time, and saxophones, watch the clip.

  1. Damn, I so liked this show. One of the fave bits I enjoyed was where Pat would go over a list of the weird subjects on the afternoon talk shows that day, like Sally Jesse, Geraldo, Donahue, etc.
