Marc Tasman – 12 year-old Computer Genius, 1984

When the Louisville Free Public Library held a contest to design computer programs, one child came out on top. Twelve year-old Marc Tasman won the contest, but as Caroline Seay reports, computers aren’t his only interest. I believe that this is the same Marc Tasman now. That last line makes it sound like Louisville did not have a happening computer scene.

    I really wonder whether or not he turned out to be one of those failed child prodigies because he couldn’t live up the the standards expected of him, or whether he made it big in the computer world.

    I hope it was the latter.
