The Atari Lynx shoulda and coulda, but it didn’t. Ads like this got me interested in the system, but still the system I got for Xmas was the Gameboy.

    I’ve often wondered if it was the price point or simply the lack of battery life that prevented this from being a star gaming system.

    It was the lack of a game library and the name ATARI. NINTENDO AND SEGA RULED the 80s and 90s. Atari died when the 2600 was taken off the shelf. Even then true gamers knew that Coleco Vision was the real deal. I still have my lynx mint in the box. Nice system but not enough games to keep it busy. Ninja Gaiden was a great game on lynx.
