    I think it’s hilarious that as the toy line got older, the Transformers started looking like plastic pieces of junk. Look at the Dinobots in that commercial. They have actual shiny parts, while the Predacons look like hunks of plastic. This seemed to be the case around the time the movie came out in 86. I seem to remember all the main characters from that appearing a little cheap in toy form with the biggest culprit being Ultra Magnus. His toy was basically an all white Optimus Prime (great for reenacting Prime’s resurrection arc, though) with a plastic frame snapped on to make him look like Magnus. Lame.
