The Star Trek product marketing license is finally pushing towards the final frontier with a set of perfumes and colognes that will be released just in time to capitalize off the success of the Abrams’ reboot. Three scents (2 colognes and 1 perfume) are being released by Genki this April/May. The first, and probably the one that will be the most successful, is Tiberius (pictured above). Let me tell you, those cologne copywriters really know how to earn a paycheck. Here is how they describe Tiberius:
TIBERIUS Cologne for men is a casual yet commanding cologne spiked with freshness and sensuality. Citron, black pepper, and cedar create refreshingly clear top notes, layered over warm vanilla, white musk and sandalwood base notes. TIBERIUS Cologne for men is difficult to define and impossible to refuse. In any universe. Inspored by legend—take TIBERIUS on your next mission and be transported to new worlds of sensual discovery. Boldy go.
The other cologne is called Red Shirt (a daring men’s fragrance for those brave enough to place no trust in tomorrow) and it is described as a “bright, clean and Direct with Top notes of green mandarin, bergamot and a hint of lavender”.
The third and most mysterious of the fragrance is the perfume, Pon Farr. Info and visuals are as mysterious as the Vulcan mating ritual for which it is named, but as soon as I find some more information I will post it on the site.
All three fragrances will come out next month (some sites are taking pre-orders) and will retail for about $30. Conventions are about to get a lot more fragrant.
