In the 1980s Cadbury candy bars started showing up on store shelves in the US and their commercials were everywhere. To my family, the Cadbury candies seemed awfully classy and we usually reserved their consumption for the high candy holidays like Easter and Christmas. My association with this brand as “high end” was so strong that I remember one time going over to my friend Sean’s house and seeing a crisper full of Cadbury Roast Almond candy bars and thinking they must be millionaires.
