Pre-1963 New York City Subway Map

I have had this map in a box since I was a young kid. I am not sure of its exact date or origin. It belonged to an Aunt of mine who worked in NYC. All I know is that it is Pre-1962 because it still refers to Idlewild Airport (pre-1963 JFK Airport). Anyone else have any ideas what year it could be from?

I love old maps and thought everyone might appreciate it even if it is a little more retro then my usual posts.

My sister and I just found a very similar map in our Mom’s personal effects with lots of notes on it regarding getting around in the city and shopping lists. It refers to Idlewilde airport as well. The only signifcant difference is the company emblem sponsoring the map-giveaway is “A. Schrader’s Son (division of Scovill)…. Seems to have been an industrial gauge maker that she worked for back then.
