A big thanks to Andrea Goldhahn Hilburn from over on the Retroist Facebook page for the heads up on the news that today is Leonard Nimoy’s 80th Birthday! So I thought what better way to honor him than to post some images from BoardGameGeek.com showcasing a West End Game that I unfortunately have never had the privilege of playing.
In this Indy based RPG from TSR you took on the role of one of eight characters from the Indiana Jones universe. Which is your problem right there. I mean I am a big fan of Short Round, but who wants to roleplay the little guy for 4 hours at a time? The Indiana Jones universe makes for a compelling universe though and luckily West End Game released a slightly better RPG in 1994.
The TSR version is out of print, but you can usually pick up a set on eBay for under 20 bucks. I would suggest, if you really have a hankering for Indiana Jones roleplaying, that you pick up the West End Games version. It really opens up the universe and lets you play beyond the scope of the movies and books.
