I’m Ready For A Live Action Wacky Races TV Series!

Blink and you’ll miss the car commercial that is “hidden” within this live action version of the Wacky Races. How can you be expected to pay attention to the ad portion for the Peugeot 208 when you are dumbfounded by how well the characters from the 1968 Hanna-Barbera animated series are represented?

Now go ahead and take a look at the intro for the 1968 cartoon.

The only thing missing from Peugeot 208 commercial was Rufus Ruffcut and Saw Tooth in the Buzz Wagon, Professor Pat Pending in the Covert-A-Car, and Lazy Luke driving the Arkansas Chuggabug with his friend Blubber Bear!

So what I’m saying Hollywood is if this French car commercial can provided a live action version of that animated series and keep the humor intact, it’s time for Adult Swim or someone to get on the ball and deliver the Wacky Races television series we deserve!

Muttley for the WIN!!

Kenner Easy-Show Movie Projector Commercial (1972)

I’ve mentioned once or twice how even as child I was fascinated by film. This interest was spurred on by the Fisher Price Movie Viewer and Theater Viewer that I received for Christmas in 1978! Even with my love of all things related to Cinema…I guess being an infant made me too young to take notice of the Kenner Easy-Show Movie Projector when it came out in 1972, but looking at this commercial I think I’m going to have to try and obtain one of them for my collection.

I’m not sure if I’d rather have the Motormouse and Autocat cartoon or Wacky Races for that projector.
