On April 5th of this year you’ll be able to once again visit Isla Nublar and the prehistoric beasts that it contains at your local movie theater and this time, to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary, you’ll see it on the big screen in 3D.

From the press release: “Universal Pictures will release Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking masterpiece JURASSIC PARK in 3D on April 5, 2013. With his remastering of the epic into a state-of-the-art 3D format, Spielberg introduces the three-time Academy Award®-winning blockbuster to a new generation of moviegoers and allows longtime fans to experience the world he envisioned in a way that was unimaginable during the film’s original release. Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Attenborough, the film based on the novel by Michael Crichton is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen.”

I’m not generally one for 3D conversions…but I’m pretty jazzed about seeing Jurassic Park back on the big screen.

Steven Spielberg in Jaws

Watch the 1976 Oscar Nominations along with Steven Spielberg!

With the 84th Annual Academy Awards on ABC this evening at 7e/4p it seemed such a great time for this video of Steven Spielberg watching the 1976 Oscar nominations to make it’s way to YouTube! From this video, Steven Spielberg jokingly suggests that Jaws will sweep all of the Oscar nominations…it didn’t quite work out that way.

Thanks to The Daily What. for sharing this from Media Burn Archive’s YouTube channel!.

Steven Spielberg…and Missile Command?

A huge thanks to the gang over at Arcade Hunters for giving us the heads up on this AWESOME photo from Arcade Nation over on Twitter! This photo is apparently from a site called the Millions and it appears this photo was included with a foreword by the legendary director for a book by Martin Amis entitled “Invasion of the Space Invaders”.

That is totally my new wallpaper.
