This video series by David Friedman entitled Inventor Portraits is something very amazing. David has gone and filmed interviews with contemporary Inventors like Steven Sasson, the inventor of the digital camera. With his latest video, David has interviewed Ralph Baer, the the genius behind the first home video game system, the Magnavox Odyssey. Take a few moments and listen to the man who could be considered the Father of all video games. By the way, this week marks Ralph’s 90th birthday!

Is it just me but did it look like he also worked on the M.A.S.K and StarCom toy lines?
For more of David’s work make sure to check out his blog at DFP: Blog! Or if you want to know more about Ralph H. Baer why not visit his website at Ralp H. Naer Consultants?
This video was created to show off the new additions to the StarCom toy line at Toy shows back in 1987. It really makes me wish I would have been into this series more in my youth. The Medical Bay “Action Pod” is really awesome!
If you want to check out the animated series based on the toy line, the Retroist posted the second episode in three parts. A big thanks to KristaMachine over on YouTube for uploading that awesome video (and the Duke of Crydee for the original). A big thanks to Total Film for the pic of the various StarCom toys!
