Who needed friends on a Saturday night? I had the satirical comedy stylings and hip-hop dancing of Roundhouse. (Followed by Ren and Stimpy.) Ah, SNICK. Good times…if I could manage the TV away from my sister, who wanted to watch The Golden Girls.

On Saturday, November 7, 2009, SMCM strikes back with a celebration that’ll make you re-upholster your couch: SNICK or Treat!, a celebration of that 2-hour cable television block that introduced us to Clarissa Darling, Ren & Stimpy, Are You Afraid of the Dark? and… shudder… even Roundhouse.
It’s been 17 years since Nickelodeon premiered this adolescence-shaking programming block, and we’re going to commemorate it with a special program of our own, culled from the best of the SNICK era, along with era-appropriate advertising, an in-house gathering of the Midnight Society and some other surprises…
