This video series by David Friedman entitled Inventor Portraits is something very amazing. David has gone and filmed interviews with contemporary Inventors like Steven Sasson, the inventor of the digital camera. With his latest video, David has interviewed Ralph Baer, the the genius behind the first home video game system, the Magnavox Odyssey. Take a few moments and listen to the man who could be considered the Father of all video games. By the way, this week marks Ralph’s 90th birthday!

Is it just me but did it look like he also worked on the M.A.S.K and StarCom toy lines?

A great compilation video for the Magnavox Odyssey.
This ad is a great example of early 1980s geeky father/daughter bonding. I hope it is father/daughter. Otherwise that guy’s smile went from gleeful to creepy.
Thanks to HFK for pointing out this that the Odyssey 2 is not an “all in one” like I had remembered. Love when I am taught new things. Thanks again HFK.
