Can anyone explain this Heathcliff Comic?

Just a few days ago I start re-reading the alternative-to-Garfield, Heathcliff. When I was a kid, I was a fan and I just wanted to see if I could recapture that fandom. This morning I was searching for Heathcliff on google when I stumbled across this comic from a few years ago and much like the original poster, I am stymied. Anyone have any thoughts as to what it means?

Heathcliff is the Original Fat Cat

While Garfield is the orange cat that everyone seems to love and remember, when I was growing up I was all about Heathcliff. I loved the cartoon and both of the animated series he appeared on, although the earlier series is much better. Not sure many people realize this, but Heathcliff actually came before Garfield. Now, while Garfield has gotten a lot more love, we Heathcliff fans can finally rejoice because, In May 2009, it was revealed that Heathcliff will be adapted for a motion picture. Magic Lantern Entertainment and rights holder FitzRoy Media will work together with a planned release in 2011. Here is to the original Fat Cat:
