I went to sleep last night thinking about Rubik’s cubes (as I often do) and somewhere at the edge of my thoughts I remembered seeing a Rubik’s cube table in a store or online. So I did a quick search this morning and their it was at Jellio. They ain’t cheap ($600), but boy what a conversation starter you will have. Just don’t try to solve it when you have food on them — they are not playable and you will drop food all over your floor.
Now I am not sure if this is technically a sofa, do sofas need backs? What is the difference between a sofa and a couch? While I have no idea exactly what to call it, I do know it would look amazing in mine or anyone’s living room.
Now I am all for trophies, but this is disrespectful. To turn our vicious, misunderstood and dare I say, noble space enemy into furniture, is the worst kind of hubris. How do you think they will treat our captured and defeated if we turn their dead into functional yet cool looking furniture?
Oh who am I kidding, I want a set of these for my living room.
This blog post about Tetris-styled furniture looks at various concepts that were inspired by the classic game. I agree it is all very cool, but if I owned any of this stuff, I couldn’t help but rearrange my furniture. Especially if anyone put on that Tetris music.
