I never saw Blue Thunder as a kid, but I was aware of it via the TV adaptation. The TV adaptation was a fun romp with a super helicopter. The movie, which I actually watched Sunday on Crackle, is a weird and twisted dive into military states and collateral damage in the skies above LA. The full version is on YouTube, but since Blue Thunder has a blue scene, I’ll merely link to it here and post the trailer.

And if you’re interested in the show, you can see the first episode on YouTube as well. Is that Dana Carvey in a flight suit, you ask? Why, yes it is, and yes, he does do his Jimmy Stewart impersonation.

I saw Slugs on Saturday Nightmares in the late 80s and was blown away. The gore is off the charts. At least it was for back then. Look for a guy chopping off his hand way too prematurely, slugs with teeth, and, the coup de grace, a piece of brain coming out of the guy in the slug pool at the end. A piece of brain! Man, I love this one. Hope you do, too.

As always, thanks to Sean for the artwork!
