Much to my surprise, my son had no idea who or what this was. Even though the logic side of my brain tells me it’s been many years since the California Raisins were a part of pop culture, it still surprises me when kids are oblivious to staples from my past.

When I asked my son to guess who or what this was, his two guesses were “Purple Brain Man” and “Mr. Poop”.

Darn kids.

Claymation awesomeness – they name is California Raisins. Give it up for the world’s most famous dried grapes, the California Raisins. Those clever Californians are always figuring out ways to sell their produce. It makes me think – I should be saving these Happy Cows commercials to post on the site in 10 years. I have posted about the Raisins before, but somehow forgot to include this gem from 1989. Ray Charles wails and the Raisins are fairly decent accompaniment.
