So V was on last night. Did you watch it? What did you think of it.

Personally I found it to be ok. Nothing great, nothing bad.
Was surprised at how much they dished out in the 1st episode. Thought they would keep a few surprises for shows down the road.
But I think it could be good.

I will stick with it, but I am having a hard time keeping it separate in my brain from the original, which I really liked. I can say this. It feels much "slicker" and I don't mean that in a good way.

I know one thing that does get my goat about this show. Why is everyone on this planet... and I guess also off this planet pretty?
Where are the fat, ugly, nasty looking people. And the only ugly person that is on the show is being put into a typical role for TV ugly people... a terrorist.
If you are ugly and on TV you are either a victim, the killer, a drug user, a drunk, mentally challenged or an abuser of man/woman.
Why can there not be an ugly person that is a main character and plays a major role.
Lost has Hurley, but since he is a secondary character and never really plays a major role in the story, I guess that is as close as we will get to having normal looking people.

It did seem they packed a lot into the first episode. I like how the visitors had been here a long time and had terroist cells but i kinda like the slow burn they had going in the original

And that is the scary part tupa, if they are showing this much, makes you wonder just how slow and boring some of the episodes are going to be.
If you watch Flash Forward, they seem to be showing the story lines of the real boring people to much and the stuff you want to see more of get pushed back.
Really hope the new V is not like that. I can see them doing back story shows from the Visitors POV telling how they got here and how they mixed into the different countries and even maybe a few episodes showing what life is like on their planet.
Take the show in a little different direction then the original.

I agree, would be neat to see how they mixed in with the humans and when exactly did they start arriving and the home planet would be neat as well. There is a ton of potential for the show...hope they dont screw it up :)
