Weetabix + Doctor Who + Gordon Archer = Awesome Art!

If you lived in the UK during 1975, and if you enjoyed a Weetabix or two for your breakfast, you might have discovered a small Doctor Who collectible card falling out into your bowl. If you did, I hope you realised at the time just how awesome that little picture was!

If you were silly enough to throw the card away, or if you’re not lucky enough to have seen the originals before, then behold all 24 cards from artist Gordon Archer in the poster above.

Head on over to the website of Gordon’s son Jon – http://goo.gl/hHUWih – to purchase both signed and unsigned posters of his artwork.

Whilst you’re there, you should also check out more of Archer’s artwork, pieces like these:

His Star Trek work is just as brilliant, but I’ll leave you to discover that for yourselves.

It’s too bad that colourforms were a mostly North American thing, because those figures and backgrounds would go together like gangbusters for a Dr Who Colorforms set!!!
    Awesome art!
