Recipes like this, which my Mother would cut out of magazines would show up as pre-holiday meal food. A decent amount of time and ingredients would go into putting them together and very often no one would eat it. I especially remember being very averse to these fish-based creations, which would always make my Mom sad.
Now if this had just been a chocolate based dip filled with jelly beans with candy bars on the side, I would have been all over it.
