Now they claim to be “just pants”, but in this amazing disco-themed commercial from the seventies, it looks like they sold a lot more than pants. For example, it looks like they also sold shirts. I guess if I went into a store that was called “Just Pants”, I wouldn’t be too bothered finding non-pant items there. It would be off-putting if it was called “Just Pants” and I went in and they had no pants, but that scenario, no matter what the product, would be highly unlikely even if it could be mined for comic gold.
Just Pants was based in the Chicago area and was being mentioned in the news as late as the early 1990’s when former executives were being charged with being involved in a scam.
