I don’t remembering encountering Squeezits until the 1990s, but according to the poster of this commercial they were available way back in 1986. When I did become aware of them I would pretty much drink them a six-pack at a time, usually late at night after coming home from work, especially in the summer. I would throw them in the freezer and eat a snack, then take them to the couch when they got just cold enough to make a few ice crystals, then I would shotgun them while watching old sitcoms. At some point in the late nineties I stopped buying them and I guess the rest of America did the same because just after the turn of the century they were discontinued.
This commercial is pretty magical and like all great beverage advertising, it encourages hugs. Enjoy.
