1984 US Olympic Stamps

Stamp collecting is a great hobby. I really enjoyed fishing through my family’s mail and looking for unique stamps I could add to my collection. What I didn’t enjoy is when the Post Office would release a series of Collector’s Stamps. My Uncle, who was a postal worker, would always get me a set, but they lacked the excitement and thrill of a stamp that I could track down in the wild.

When I finally did get rid of my stamp collection, it was not those “Limited Edition” stamps that I felt bad about letting go of, but the hard-earned stamps that I cut out or attempted to “steam” off of envelopes. Buying a collection is never as fun as building a collection.
