Rent your videos at Movies to Go!

It is amazing not just how many local video stores we once had, but how many regional chains existed. In the mid-eighties, Movies to Go was a rising power in the midwest and you can see some of what they offered in this classic commercial (did you spot “The Last Starfighter”?).

Sadly the last Movies to Go shut its doors in 2013. Which is actually amazing when you consider how many bigger chains it outlasted.

  1. Too bad the vid is gone already. “the account associated with this video has been deleted due to multiple violations….”.
I -think- we had a movies to go store around here. We had several oddball little ones over the years, it’s hard to remember some of the names.
