This the type of commercial that would get heavy rotation on weekdays. So I would spot stuff like this when I was home from school sick, usually during game shows like “The Price is Right”. My family had multiple dogs, so we invested heavily in rug shampooing and cleaning. Sadly they never really worked as well as the commercials let on. Still when it came time to shampoo the rugs, I was quick to volunteer. I guess I got a perverse thrill from spraying foam on the carpet, an activity normally frowned upon.
After shampooing was complete, the house did smell fresher, but that would quickly fade. Yet we continued trying to Lestoil it month after month. It must have been this woman’s ecstatic expression that sold use on the stuff.
