Boulder Dash Is Finally Out On The Intellivision!

Boulder Dash originally was created by Peter Liepa and Chris Gray back in 1984 and has been available on an amazing number of home consoles and computers through the years like the Commodore 64, Apple II, Colecovision, the Nintendo Entertainment System, BBC Micro, PC, Amiga, and Amstrad CPC to name a few. But now thanks to Programmer Scott Nuds and co-publishers First Star Software, Inc. and Classic Game Publishers, Inc./Elektronite, it is finally debuting on Mattel Electronic’s Intellivision!

The object of the game is to guide “Rockford” through caves picking up diamonds and gems while trying to avoid various natural obstacles in search of the exit…all before time runs out.

The cartridges are only being printed in a small quantity so the price tag is a little hefty at $70 and can be ordered here. A big thanks to Brett Weiss who shared this video and announcement on his Facebook Page and make sure to check out his awesome Video Game Series of books!
