Those Nintendo Power ‘A Link To The Past’ Comics Are Coming Back!

Originally appearing in Nintendo Power starting in 1992 and lasting for 12 issues, the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past comic is fondly remembered by most fans of the Hero of Hyrule. It was actually written and illustrated by Shotaro Ishinomori (Cyborg 009, Kamen Rider) and in 1993 was collected and republished as a graphic novel but since then sadly has been out of print.

Which is why it was so exciting when Viz Media announced on their Twitter feed that on May 5th they are republishing the comic in a hardcover collection. The story while following some of A Link to the Past’s gameplay is it’s own tale, written so that we gamers back in the day could be surprised by it’s direction.
