Guns that shot beams of light seemed like a revelation to me when I was a kid. It started with light guns at arcades or on home units like Ideal’s Tin Can Alley, but quickly evolved. Soon we were firing light guns at our TVs and running around playing laser tag. I am not sure if any exciting new things are being made with this now aging tech or what might inspire a revolution in light gun entertainment, but if and when it happens, I hope they have someone as great at Chuck “The Rifleman” Conners to endorse it.
