What is this Video Store Ad from 1982 offering?

This ad from 1982 makes the claim that you can do a lot more with your video setup than just watch movies? While I agree with this, they do not explicitly state what those other things are, instead we have to rely on clip art to figure out what they mean.

So you got some hockey guys, a family scene and some romance. Two of them are pretty easy to figure out. I am guessing the hockey is recording sports on TV and the family is home video of a vacation. It is the romance scene that raises questions. Are they implying adult entertainment or merely that you can record your favorite soap opera or wedding?
