In his plastic bubble, toy Cthulhu waits dreaming

Today was pretty amazing because our good pals at Warpo Toys, makers of the Legends of Cthulhu action figures, deposited a package on my door that is driving me mad with joy. The box contained some fun Warpo buttons as well as one of their Spawn of Cthulhu action figures. The package and figure, as you can see in the pictures below, are pretty awesome. (I cannot wait to see what Warpo works on next).

Now I know I should probably keep him “mint in box”, but for some reason this little plastic cosmic horror keeps calling to me. Even now I feel my hands wandering from the keyboard, ready to tear off the plastic bubble. Yet, I hesitate. Perhaps some things are best left behind plastic?

How much time has passed since I uploaded these photos? Why is it dark out? I hear a strange music in my head now, it is an ancient and unknowable tune. Something is stirring in the toy box. I am not sure I will make it through the night.
