If Vincent van Gogh had lived in the 1980s, I am sure he would have still been a huge success. Not Patrick Nagel popular, but up there. He also might have drawn inspiration from the pop culture of the time. Perhaps after a long day at the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence arcade he would return to his room, look out his window, see the sky and feel inspired to paint this timeless work of art?
