Despite my complete lack of enthusiasm for sports as a kid, my family pushed me to watch it when possible. They even enlisted me in the NFL SuperPro Club, which as you can see above, was an NFL fan club for kids. The fact that a pack-rat like me doesn’t have any of the items they sent to me anymore should demonstrate how little regard I had for the club.
The ads for it were pervasive in comic books, magazines and even on TV. A few of my friends also belonged to this “exclusive” club and a lot of trash talking was attempted with me and failed.
This club should be confused with the much maligned SuperPro Marvel comic.
