Aladdin’s Castle Arcade Video From 1989

Back in the day I can say I had some really good times at the original arcade in the local mall of my youth. It was called “Land of Oz” and truly had a dizzying amount of different games and amusements. Everything from Space Invaders and Pac-Man to mechanical rifle gun games and even a marionette show that took up the entire back wall.

At that time I was picking up what video game magazines that I could and quite a few had ads for an arcade chain called Aladdin’s Castle. I never stepped foot into one but I’m glad that Growin Up Sin City 81 uploaded this 1989 video of his visit to one during his 8th birthday party!

Some nice gaming going on in the video with the likes of Pole Position, Street Fighter, Gain Ground, NARC and many more.

We had a Land of Oz arcade in the mall of my youth (Capital Mall, Jefferson City, MO.) I spent many a weekend night there between 1979 and 1985. I believe it eventually became an Aladdin’s Castle in the late 80’s or early 90’s.
