I had several friends who in the Eighties became obsessed with cars like the Ferrari and Lamborghini. Their walls were plastered with posters and advertisements for them, a lot of them were a lot like this one I found in a magazine from 1981.
As the decade moved on, their posters became a lot less subtle and eventually they were just filled with half-naked women with a car somewhere in the background. It was a weird trend that made me think that whatever car they got (and it wasn’t going to be a Ferrari), was going to leave them deeply disappointed no matter what.
