Village of the Harshly Criticised

There is a channel on Youtube called Scarfolk Council that is very unusual. They have an “about” page that reads:

Scarfolk is a town in North West England that did not progress beyond 1979. Instead, the entire decade of the 1970s loops ad infinitum. Here in Scarfolk, pagan rituals blend seamlessly with science; hauntology is a compulsory subject at school, and everyone must be in bed by 8pm because they are perpetually running a slight fever. “Visit Scarfolk today. Our number one priority is keeping rabies at bay.” For more information please reread.

Amongst the strange videos posted by Scarfolk Council is this one, made to briefly introduce a screening of the 1960 film “Village of the Damned” at the ‘End Of The Road Festival’, 31 Aug 2014. Now, whenever I think of the film, I’m going to be reminded that the Village of the Damned is just a short drive away from the Village of the Harshly Criticised and the Village of the F%$??&d!

Unusually, I’m not going to recommend you watch any of their other videos, they’re all too creepy…
